Is this not the happiest, cutest, sweetest dress you have ever seen?! My daughter’s birthday is just days away and this is one of several gifts that have arrived in the mail. She’s a lucky kid to have so many people in her life that love her and make her feel special. This darling dress is from dear friends who always seems to know exactly what both Emily and her mommy would looooove. It’s bright and cheery. That sweet little scallop collar makes me smile. It’s been washed already- twice! As I was taking it out of the dryer tonight Emily asked if she could wear it again, to school tomorrow. I think she has to- it’s her new favorite! And, why not? I have never been one to keep the pretty things tucked nicely in the closet. I want to see her wear them as often as possible before time slips away.
*** Birthday Update!*** Sharing the rainbow cake Emily and I made for her birthday. I love the not-so-perfect frosting and the “six” made out of sprinkles. Plus, how pretty are those cake layers??? I thought she was putting way too much food coloring in the batter. Nope. Looks pretty perfect to me. And you can tell from the “after” photo that it was very yummy. It’s the first time I had ever made a cake that included yogurt in the recipe. It really kept the cake super moist. Emily and I will, for sure, have to make this cake again. I wonder what colors she will choose next?!
Miss Emily is adorable in this cute dress !
I think you will be seeing this fun dress a lot!
