The Original Rainbow Cone is a Chicago classic. Located on Western Avenue in the Beverly neighborhood, Rainbow Cone has delighted its customers with its signature five-flavor layer ice cream cone for 94 years. A sweet stack of chocolate, strawberry, Palmer House– which is vanilla with cherry and walnuts, YUM!– along with pistachio and orange sherbet on top. This summer they’ve taken their famous cone on the road. Take a look at this adorable and colorful ice cream truck! I just love the Chicago landmarks and the bright colors, not to mention the polka dots. Such a fun design. You can follow The Original Rainbow Cone https://www.instagram.com/theoriginalrainbowcone/ on instagram and facebook to see where here in suburbs it will be making future stops. Emily and I “followed the rainbow” to Glendale Heights. And JUST as we got our hands on the Rainbow Cone, the skies opened up. Dodging rain just made this summer stop even more fun. Oh, and if those flavors don’t sound tasty to you, the truck is serving up cookies and cream ice cream too 🙂
