summer, and the years, slipping away…

If there’s one way to see how time is flying, it’s through photos. Every summer, I take a beach photo of our daughter while we’re on vacation. My favorite will always be the first year I did this, when she was 5-years-old. A morning rainbow appeared at just the right time to capture the moment. I love looking at how she’s grown. I also love how she’s holding something in most of the photos. Sand and shells, toys, her camera… and this year, a souvenir from our visit to the Kennedy Space Center that she bought with the spending money her grandma gave her.

Adding in just a couple of my favorite shots from this summer’s beach getaway. As always, can’t wait until next year!

5-years-old and the photo that will always be my favorite.
6-years-old love those curls and that sweet smile.
7-years-old and the summer she started loving taking her own photos!
8-years-old and camera shy? LOL
9-years-old and too busy searching for sea shells to stand a minute for a photo! LOL
10-years-old and holding the model toy of the Space Shuttle Atlantis souvenir she bought at the Kennedy Space Center.
10-years-old and looking like a preteen in this photo! Love the different perspective shooting up toward the sky.
