When is the best time of year to take family photos? I get that question a lot. And yes, while fall colors or summertime blue skies may offer beautiful backdrops, the best time for a family photo is ANYTIME you can get the family together! And that was the case for a dear friend of mine, whose now-adult children returned home for Christmas. I was so happy to meet up with them at a nearby forest preserve where we snapped a few photos and had a chance to catch up.

So, if you’re still waiting for the right time to take family photos, don’t put it off too long- you might just miss the perfect opportunity!
