Fall is the air. While the last 24 hours have brought overcast skies a dip in the temperature, it’s the wind that’s whispering a change of seasons loud and clear. No longer a soft summer breeze, but one with a chill that’ll have you grabbing a sweater, and maybe a kite. Cuddled up warm enough and you can stand in a field FOREVER seeing just how high you can get that pirate kite up there. As high as the trees? For sure! Maybe even an airplane? No problem says my daughter. The planet Mars on the other hand… she wasn’t so sure about 😉 Growing up in a house that backs up to a farm has been such fun. The open field provided the perfect place for my brother and I to ride snowmobiles when we were young. My parents enjoy watching the foxes, eagles and other wildlife roam about. And now, it’s my six-year-old who gets excited when her Papa opens the back gate and we head out into the field. Thank you Farmer Lorenzen for your kindness!
Oh what fun it is to see the joy in Emily’s face when she’s getting the kite up to the clouds !
