I am in love with this sweet little box. I am calling it “Emily’s Birthday Box”. In a previous post, I had written about some new products I am so excited to be able to now offer clients. Along with amazing heirloom quality prints ( which are hand processed on fine art, archival paper ) there are canvases, ornaments, hand soldered frames… and boxes. Exquisite glass boxes.
Today, I want to show you the mini version of that box. It’s just a little thing, two-and-a-half inches by nearly three, but it is oh so big on beauty and presentation. I had the idea to keep birthday photos in this treasure. Just one photo from each of my daughter’s birthdays. An image that will either signify the age she turned, or maybe a special birthday moment. There’s the birthday she had her Cinderella cake; she was three. When she turned five, a new bike was the highlight of that day! And from just last year, it is the memory of Emily helping bake her own birthday cake that I will never forget. I love how she wanted a big 6 in sprinkles on the top.
Over the years, this little glass box will be filled with so much love and cuteness. I was thinking I would gift this to her when she is much older. Or maybe not! I am not sure I can part with it. And I just can’t wait to see what photo will be placed in the box this next birthday.
