Troll Hunting in the rain

We didn’t see Poppy or Branch, but we sure had fun hunting down these trolls at the Morton Arboretum.  If you drive along I-88 near 355, you no doubt have seen a huge, mysterious creature gazing out over the tollway.  He is just one of six colossal trolls hidden throughout arboretum grounds.  With the creatures measuring between 15-to-30-feet tall, they’re pretty easy to spot.  And, there are troll hunting signs to point you in the right direction.  It POURED on the day we were troll hunting.  And we spent a lot of time in the car waiting out the storms.  But when we did get out, the trek through the muddy forest was definitely worth it as we discovered one fun troll after another.  Crafted out of reclaimed wood and designed by a Dutch artist, these creatures will be keeping watch over the Morton Arboretum through the end of the year. You can read more about them, and even get some tips on tracking them down here: http://www.mortonarb.org/events/troll-hunt

HAPPY TROLL HUNTING!
