Unlike the blistering heat of last summer, it was cooler temperatures and a little rain when Emily and I made our annual visit to Skelly’s Farm Market in Janesville. Not only was it kind of nice to throw on a sweatshirt, the weather made for lighter crowds. And when you’re trying to social distance your way around a sunflower maze, that’s a good thing!
One thing that was as busy as in years past: THE BEES! They were everywhere! No walking in-between the rows of towering beauties. Emily and I made sure to stick to the main path. Skelly’s does a great job with their sunflower field. It gets bigger by the year. They set up, not only a maze, but fun little photo-op stops along the way. There’s also a wagon to climb up and get a better view of the sea of yellow gold flowers that seem to smile back at you.
