My 5-year-old has known, for weeks, what she wants to be for Halloween. And it’s not even October yet. A pink butterfly. A sparkly pink butterfly. We saw a costume online that she fell in love with and proceeded to ask me about it, constantly! “Did you order it Mom, did you?!” I did, and gave it to her early. Who would have thought it would have been one of the last days we’d be basking in 80-degree weather before all of this rain and cold arrived. This test flight for Butterfly Emily was a success. Now… to figure out how to keep her warm on what will no doubt be the usual cold and wet night of trick-or-treating! ( click on any of the photos to begin the slideshow )
